# Tubask

> Tubask is a hosted YouTube MCP server for Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and other Streamable HTTP clients. Paste a video link in chat to search YouTube, summarize talks, or pull timestamped quotes — three tools, OAuth on first use, hosted trial (3 summaries · 25 searches) before you add your own Google API key.

YouTube, readable in chat. MCP endpoint: https://tubask.app/mcp. Transport: Streamable HTTP. Auth: OAuth 2.0 (browser signup on first tool call). Read-only tools: `youtube_query`, `summarize_video`, `get_transcript`. Public listing repo: https://github.com/Amorizz/tubask-mcp.

Videos need captions (auto-generated counts). Tubask does not run speech-to-text on caption-less uploads.
